The Prelude
Typically begins 20 to 40 minutes prior to the ceremony
Plays during the seating of guests, mothers and grandmothers
The Processional
Announces the arrival of the wedding attendants, and finally the bride
Time the music to accompany the entrace of the groom clergy, and all of the attendants. Typically, there are two selections played during the processinal: one for the bridesmaids and their groomsmen and a different selection for the bride.
The Ceremony
Selections are played to accentuate key points int he ceremony, such as before a reading, during communion or the signing of the register.
The Recessional
The grand finale of the ceremony
Should reflect the jubilant nature of the occasion as the newlyweds, exit up the aisle
Selections should be uplifting, possessing a majestic and quick tempo that proclaims that joy of your new union
The Postlude
Should consist of lively musical selections that continue playing as the wedding party leaves and all guests have exited the ceremony site.
